Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 48-year-old man. My ears have a continual ringing or buzzing sound. It is giving me a lot of pain. It impacts my quality of life, particularly my sleep and attention. Are there coping methods or practices that might assist me in dealing with the emotional and practical difficulties associated with this ringing sound? Can I do anything to keep this ringing sound from getting worse or returning in the future? Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

I am very sorry about your medical condition. Do not worry; I am here to take care of you. Regarding your symptoms, your diagnosis is Tinnitus due to a possible ear infection. There are no coping strategies for now.

Please follow the suggestions below.

  1. 0.1 % Chloramphenicol ear drops twice daily (bid).

  2. Metronidazole 400 mg orally thrice daily (TID).

  3. Co-Amoxiclav 625 mg (Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid) orally twice daily (bid).

  4. Apply Neurogesic cream twice daily (bid).

However, please consult a physician, discuss with them, and start taking the medications with their consent.

I hope I have answered your question.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards.
