Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I was diagnosed with compartment syndrome 10 years back. The doctor advised me to sleep with my leg elevated and said that there is no treatment for this. I have been taking the tablets Enzoflame and Trental for this complaint. Now I am experiencing pain in the nerves at the side of the calves. The pain radiates to my hip joints. I am also having numbness and a burning sensation. I am also taking the tablets Gynaset, Loette, and Thyronorm. Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. The symptoms you have described do not suggest compartment syndrome. Compartment syndrome is an acute emergency that requires surgery called fasciotomy to relieve the raised pressure in the compartment of your leg. The symptoms you described are associated with the lumbar spine disc prolapse called sciatica. I hope this has helped you out.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
