Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been suffering from sciatic pain for the past year in my right leg. I am unable to walk long distances or run. I was earlier taking Maxmala, and now I am taking Gabapin NT, but it is not giving me much relief. I have undergone MRI tests. Please help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

Before taking treatment for sciatica, two things must be realized: First, medications alone are never sufficient for a proper response, and second, there is a need for a holistic approach. There is a definite need to add physiotherapy to your current treatment approach. With proper application of exercises and appropriate postures, you may feel improvement gradually. In addition, if the current regimen is not helping appropriately, I suggest you change to Gabapin NT (Gabapentin and Nortriptyline) 400 from the current Gabapin 100 (Gabapentin). If you already take Gabapin NT 400, then Duzela M 30 (Duloxetine and Methylcobalamin) can be started. Consult a specialist doctor, talk to them, and then take the medication.

I hope this helps you. Feel free to write back if you have more questions.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
