Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I removed a sebaceous cyst from my armpit; the sac is out. The cyst started to be white on the top, and it popped as soon as I squeezed it. Now my arm hurts. Is that natural, which happened less than an hour ago?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

In a sebaceous cyst, you need to excise the cyst from the inside. If you squeeze it, only content will come out, but the cyst wall remains inside. After some time, you get again like recurrence. If you remove including cyst wall, it is unlikely to get it back again. It is a surgical procedure done in local anesthesia (excision).

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
