Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 24-year-old married for the last two years and working out of the city. When I come home, I do not know if it is due to dietary changes or because of other reasons. My body feels broken and and my stomach disturbed. I lose my interest in sex even cannot hold an erection and have a low sex drive.

Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

Low libido has reasons:

1. Infections - It can be due to a urine infection. So it is advised to do complete urine and ultrasound of the pelvis to diagnose the cause.

2. Diabetes and Hypertension - Ensure blood pressure and blood sugar are controlled. If you are already on medication, kindly share the medication name.

3. Hormonal Disturbances - These can include low testosterone, low levels of thyroid, and high levels of prolactin. Check for TFT (thyroid function test), prolactin, and testosterone.

4. Obesity - Plan for regular exercise and yoga.

5. Vitamin Deficiency - Check for vitamin D and B12.

6. High cholesterol – Check for lipid profile and plan for regular exercise.

7. Anxiety - It can also cause libido issues. I advised you to do USG (ultrasound) pelvis to rule out pelvis infection, a thyroid check-up, free T3 (triiodothyronine), T4 (thyroxine), TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone), lipid profile to know cholesterol level, blood pressure, and RBS (random blood sugar).

Kindly share more details regarding the above reason so we can work on the cause and treatment. I suggest using the tablet Mildfil (Tadalafil) 5 mg twice a day as a temporary solution. Consult a specialist doctor and take medications with their consent.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
