Hello doctor,
About three weeks ago I applied a delay spray for sexual intercourse but ended up sleeping with it on my penis, which means I did not wipe it out. The very next morning I could not get an erection. The following days I could have an erection by physical touch only but It was not as strong and I was losing the erection after a little while. Since day three after applying the delay spray, I am barely having erections and I am also noticing that I am not getting morning wood. Also, I have no sexual stimulation. What could this be? Does the delay spray affect my penis? Can delay spray cause ED permanently? Any help will be much appreciated.

I read your query and understand your concern. Lignocaine is a local anesthesia agent and its action lasts for two hours. It is unlikely to cause erectile dysfunction. If you use it and don’t wash it will not cause erectile dysfunction in the short or long term. Erectile dysfunction at your age is likely to be due to stress.
