Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 27-year-old female. Over the past year, I have been unable to have pleasure from sex, eating, taking a hot bath, or being with friends and family. I find this lack of pleasure to be depressing. I do not enjoy sex, foreplay or even just cuddling as I feel only an uncomfortable ache in my head. This has affected my libido. Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern

Low Libido can have many reasons. It can be due to infections like urinary infections. You can do a complete urine analysis and ultrasound of the pelvis in order to diagnose it. Diabetes and hypertension can also cause low libido. Make sure that your blood pressure and sugar levels are under control. I suggest you get your blood pressure and random blood sugar (RBS) checked. (If you are under any medication, please share details regarding them). It can also be due to hormonal imbalances like low levels of testosterone, thyroid, or elevated prolactin levels. I suggest you get a thyroid function test (TFT), prolactin, and testosterone levels checked. Obesity can be another reason, which can be corrected by regular exercise and yoga. I suggest you check your lipid profile, as high cholesterol levels can also cause low libido. Another reason that affects sex drive can be anxiety. Please share details if you are under any chronic diseases or chronic medication. Kindly share more details regarding the above reasons, so we can work on the cause and treatment. I suggest you take tablet Mildfil 5 mg (Tadalafil 5 mg) twice a day as a temporary solution. Consult your physician and take medication accordingly.

I hope this information will help you. Please revert in case of further queries.

Thank you.

Hi doctor,

Thanks for replying.

My blood test reports are normal. I have been suffering from an intense lack of pleasure and discomfort. This affects everything I do from bathing to eating to even just lying in bed. What to do?

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Do you have aches behind your ear after sexual intercourse? It can be either due to some vitamin deficiency or an ear infection. So, I suggest you get your vitamin levels checked.

Hope it helps.

Thank you.
