Why am I getting pain on insertion?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am having a problem in my sex life. I am unable to have intercourse with my partner. I feel it is painful on insertion. I have attached the photo for clarification. Although I am having sex for past three months, I am unable to complete the session. After a few minutes of sex, it is painful for me.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and viewed the attached picture (attachment removed to protect patient identity).

  • Although it is common for many women to take the full length of the penis in their vagina, from the available picture it seems you are having less than optimum space.
  • The presence of pain is one another thing which indicates not is all well there.
  • In my view, there should be sonography of your pelvic organs to rule out any congenital malformation or any indigenous pathology.
