Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 36-year-old male. 15 days back, I had a sexual encounter. It was mainly a handjob, with a brief oral encounter for less than 20 seconds. I had got two STI tests done since then, and both were negative. However, today I noticed some red spots on the tip of my penis. I am worried.
Kindly advise.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have read your query and am sorry for such discomfort.
I have also reviewed your reports and images (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). There are red spots over the glans penis. However, the chances of STI (sexually transmitted diseases) through hand job are less unless your partner has open lesions or genital fluid secretion on the hand while giving a hand job. Kindly answer the below questions:
It is good to know that you had two STI panel tests done, and both were negative. Though it looks like minor irritation leading to tiny red spots on the glans, to be on the safer side, you should be watchful for the above-mentioned symptoms in the coming days and repeat the test after ten days. Also, you can visit an STI health clinic if you are worried.
Do revert with answers to the above questions.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for your response.
No, I do not have any of the above-mentioned symptoms. However, I pee more frequently these days, and I believe that my anxiety is the reason.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
As you do not have any other symptoms, the chances of STI are less. Hopefully, they will clear on their own. However, observe any new symptoms in the coming days and repeat the tests in two weeks. Also, frequent urination can be due to anxiety, but painful urination can be due to STI.
I suggest you apply moisturizer over the glans penis as it appears dry and keep the genital area clean and wash it daily.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
