Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have shoulder pain right side. I have no history of any trauma or injury, or surgery. I am 21 years, and I have pain from the center to the right shoulder and sometimes in the arms too. If I do a lot of work, I feel weakness in my arm and shoulder. I have pain when I write, walk, or sit without support for a long time. Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern. What you are experiencing is most probably due to a condition called bicipital tendonitis. There is swelling and inflammation of your biceps muscle tendon. There can be many causes of this to happen and not always injury. The routine activities and movements you do regularly at your elbow and shoulder are mainly responsible for this type of condition. You need to take some anti-inflammatory medicines and minimal pain medications, along with hot water bag fomentations over the painful areas. It is best to avoid or limit the excess movements of the elbow and shoulder and avoid lifting any weight of more than two to three kilograms from your affected hand. Adding a few shoulder and elbow exercises to your routine schedule be helpful. The human body is, however vast and behaves differently in every condition. For more precise diagnosis and further treatment planning, you can book my appointment at the icliniq application. I hope you find it helpful.
Thank you.
