Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 23-year-old male, and my weight is 115 lbs. Last month, I went to my doctor because I was feeling weak, and at that time, I had anxiety and panic attacks. He said everything was okay and maybe I had a viral infection, so he gave me some medicines. I have had small red spots on my skin (petechiae). I also saw two bruises on my skin (yellowish-green), one on my arm and one on my leg, and I do not even know where I got it. I have also noticed that the nodes on the right neck are slightly larger than usual.

Should I be worried?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

For stress issues, yoga and meditation are beneficial if anxiety and panic attacks are more than medication can be given.

Now rash and petechiae can be from viral infection.

Investigate with a complete blood count report. If the platelet count is low, petechiae and bruises can also occur. You can prescribe an antihistaminic drug (levocetirizine will benefit that).

Enlarged lymph nodes can be from reactive enlargement of lymph nodes secondary to infection. If, after seven days, your enlarged lymph node in your neck persists, then an FNAC investigation is needed to rule out the nature of the enlarged lymph node.

Consult a physician for examination and discuss all these.

I hope your concern is solved.

Thank you.
