Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have developed some lesions on my face which are only increasing and painful. First they developed pus and started itching. The next day the pus broke and it became reddish and more sensitive. I have attached pictures. Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I do understand your concern.

It appears to be a secondary bacterial infection due to scratching of the lesion.

  1. Apply Mupirocin cream twice daily for two weeks.
  2. Tablet Roxid (Roxithromycin) 150 mg twice daily after food for five days.
  3. Use Povidone iodine solution and a cotton gauze piece to clean the lesion.
  4. Avoid scratching and rubbing of lesions.
  5. Keep a check on sugar levels.
  6. Avoid friction, pressure, injury, and trauma to the lesion.
  7. Do not pop prick or rub lesions. It will take a few weeks to heal.
  8. Tablet Antoxid HC (Antioxidant) once daily after breakfast for 30 days.
  9. Increase vitamin A and C-rich foods in the diet.
  10. Drink plenty of water.
  11. Avoid stress.

Thank you.
