Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am hoping you can answer this question for me. I am submitting a photo of what I am hoping is a skin tag. I have had this for years but never asked about it. It is on my testicles.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Yes, it seems like a tag (acrochordon). Another possibility is that of a wart. Is it soft and swishy when you squeeze it? Or is it firm? A skin tag either has to be removed with a cautery machine or it can be fulgurated.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you so much. Yes, it is squishy and resembles a skin tag but I wanted to clarify. Nick did last week and it was bleeding a little and was sore. Yes, I have had one removed before not in that exact area but near it and it did resemble the exact same thing.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

This too has to be removed with a cautery. Another possibility is that it could be a wart which is an HPV (human papillomavirus) infection. That too needs to be removed. Take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
