Hi doctor,

I traveled to a new country for a short business trip of 3 to 4 weeks. Today is my fifth day, and I am having problems to sleep at night from these past five days. As a precaution, I carried Melatonin and Zolfresh with me. Can I take 10 mg Zolfresh to get proper sleep? I took Melatonin last time, but it was not effective. When should I take Zolfresh? Will it help regulate my sleep cycle? My head is paining, and my eyes are burning due to lack of sleep.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

  • Zolfresh (Zolpidem) is used for initiating and maintaining sleep. It should help you in resetting your sleep cycle.
  • It is to be taken immediately before going to bed. Do not watch TV, mobiles, or interact after taking it. You can read a book if you want. You should fall asleep within 30 to 45 minutes.
  • I suggest you try taking Melatonin along with Zolfresh. If Zolfresh alone does not give you satisfactory sleep. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her and start taking the medicines after their consent.

Thank you doctor,

How long can I take Zolfresh? Is it safe to take for next 15 days? I will be here for another couple of weeks. Or should I stop taking it after a certain time? Does this have any side effects and health hazards? Please advice.

Hello doctor,

Thank you so much for your help. Is it fine if I take Zolfresh for more than 15 days? Will I be addicted to it? Can I take Telday 40 mg along with Zolfresh?

#

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

  • Even if you have to take it for a few more days, then also, it is not a problem. But start taking after you consult your doctor.
  • Zolfresh is very less likely to become addicted to after taking for such a small duration. So, addiction is not a worry in your case.
  • Yes, you can safely take it along with Telday 40 mg (Telmisartan).
