Hello doctor,

I have an issue with low rapid linear progression (5 % only). I weigh 100 kg. I did not have any injuries in the past, nor do I have any other medical problems. All is well except for the fact that I have been trying to make my wife pregnant since 2019. I had just got my semen analysis which said that I have a very low linear progression of my sperm. Recommend me the way forward and help me.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You seem to have low sperm motility, which can affect your chances of conceiving a child with your wife. Here are some recommendations for the way forward:

Consult with a urologist or fertility specialist: A medical professional can conduct a thorough evaluation to identify the cause of your low sperm motility and suggest appropriate treatment options. This may include lifestyle changes, medication, or assisted reproductive techniques.

  • Make Lifestyle Changes: Lifestyle changes may include quitting smoking, reducing alcohol intake, maintaining a healthy weight, and exercising regularly. These changes can improve sperm quality and increase the chances of conceiving.
  • Consider Dietary Changes: A healthy and balanced diet, rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, can boost sperm health. Foods such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, and seeds are rich in these nutrients.
  • Practice Stress Reduction Techniques: Chronic stress can affect fertility. Engaging in stress-reducing activities like yoga, meditation, or regular exercise can improve overall health and boost your chances of conceiving.

Once you start a treatment plan, it is essential to follow up regularly to monitor your progress and make any necessary adjustments. In conclusion, low sperm motility can be a significant challenge for couples trying to conceive. However, with appropriate treatment and lifestyle changes, it is possible to improve sperm quality and increase the chances of pregnancy.

I hope this helps.

Regards.
