Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My stomach has been hurting for three years. I am currently 18 years old, and the pain has gotten worse. It hurts after supper no matter what I eat and almost every morning it hurts when I wake up. There has been increased pain for four days. The pain is present even in the middle of the night. There is stinging pain right under my belly button. I am a female and I weigh 126 pounds. I am not allergic to any foods. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

I need some more information before I can give you some specific answers and solutions. So, kindly follow up with the following information:

  1. Have you ever been evaluated or investigated by a doctor for this issue? If yes, attach the reports of the investigations done.
  2. Can you describe more about your pain? Where exactly do you have the pain? Is it present only around the belly button and nowhere else or does it move around from right to left, up and down, and from front to back? Is the pain squeezing, constricting, sharp, stabbing, heavy, or burning? How does the pain set in? Does it increase and decrease? How long does it stay? How does it end? How bad is it and how would you rate the pain on a scale of 10? If 0, then there is no pain and if it is 10, then you have excruciating pain.
  3. Do you have any burning sensation in the chest or while passing urine?
  4. Do you suffer from constipation? Are the stools hard, infrequent stools, or do you strain while passing stools?
  5. Is there any blood in your stools?
  6. Do you suffer from loose stools or diarrhea?
  7. Are you on any medications?
  8. Do you or your family members have any diseases?

Please revert with answers to the above questions so that I can guide you further.

Thank you.
