Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My 13-year-old daughter has had stomach pain and vomiting at night for three days. She has been given gas and acid medicines to see if that's the problem, but it was useless. Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
Did she develop a fever anytime during the last two days? If yes, then we should start on some antibiotics. Otherwise, this seems to be acute gastritis. I suggest taking tablet Ondansetron 4 mg thrice daily before meals and tablet Lanzoprazole 30 mg morning and night before meals for three days. Also, give her a bland porridge diet with no oil or spice. Ask her to drink plenty of water.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
