Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am female, nonsmoker, 37 years old. I had my gallbladder out four years ago. I had a lot of digestive issues (rib pain, burning feeling in the tummy, etc). After several adjustments by a chiropractor and acupuncture specialist, the issues went away. They still come back occasionally and after a few adjustments, I feel fine. Last week, I was having a lot of pain in my back rib cage, upper left side. I started to notice a few signs of possible indigestion (lump in throat feeling mainly). Even after some adjustments, the issue was still there. It has persisted for about six days now. Now my upper right side ribs are doing the same thing but on the front side. I have been very gassy, a few odd bowel movements after having a crappy tummy. I am worried that I am having signs of pancreatic cancer or liver issues or something else really serious. Any ideas?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Do not worry. I do not think there is anything serious. Usually, throat lumps are associated with difficulty in swallowing or drinking. But if you feel a lump like feeling in the throat, it is better to consult an E.N.T doctor. He will examine your oral cavity and throat.
Regarding liver and pancreatic cancers, they are usually associated with weight loss, abdominal pain, poor appetite, sometimes jaundice, etc. Also, both of these cancers are uncommon before the age of 50.
After gallbladder removal, many people experience a gastrointestinal upset. You can also consult a gastroenterologist.
For more information consult a medical oncologist online.
