Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 33 years old. My right cheek is swollen with boils for more than ten days. There is no pain but it feels sticky all over my face.

Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern. Our skin has many sweat and sebaceous glands. The sebaceous glands secret sebum which keep our skin oily. It is necessary for the integrity of the skin. But excessive secretion makes our skin oily and sticky. Often dust particles can obstruct the opening of the glands giving rise to boil-like eruptions over the skin. You need to keep the skin clean and use face wash or soap at least twice daily and whenever you are back home from outside. Food habits can also promote sebum. You need to avoid spicy and fried foods. Our hair follicles contain lots of dust and microorganisms. It would be better if you shave the area. My advice: Consult your specialist doctor, talk to them, and take medications with their consent. Apply Neobacrin ointment (Neomycin Sulfate, and Zinc Bacitracin) twice daily after washing the face. Take a capsule of Doxycyclin 100 mg twice daily for 10 days. If the problem persists, then you must see a dermatologist.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
