Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 19-year-old male, I weigh 250 lbs and experience random muscle twitches and contractions, constant fatigue, abnormal pressure in the cranial cavity (not pain but noticeable enough to cause discomfort), neck stiffness, lower back stiffness, and pain, occasional tinnitus, unsteady hands. I have a syrinx that extends across a few cervical vertebrae. Could this be the cause of my symptoms, or is it likely something else? Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com
Yes, the syrinx can be a possible cause of this; you need to get another MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) done of the cervical spine - and compare it to the old one to see for any growth of the syrinx, some of these symptoms can also be due to calcium deficiency, so need to supplement this,
Tablet Calcium carbonate 500 mg (once daily) for a one month before food,
Tablet Vitamin D 60000 units once a week for four weeks.
Take these tablets only if you are not allergic to them.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
