Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have accidentally taken three 1000 mg (milligram) shots of Nebido (Testosterone undecanoate) about once a month before. I realized it should have been every 10 to 14 weeks instead. Can this cause any issues? Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,

I have read the query, and I can understand your concern.
Please help me with a few details so that I can understand what is going on:
Why were you prescribed testosterone injections?
Who prescribed them?
Are you diabetic or hypertensive?
Have you had any surgeries in the past?
Currently, do you have any palpitations, headaches, weight gain, acne breakouts, and muscle pain?
Please revert with the details, and I will do my best to assist you.
I hope this will help you.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thanks for the reply.
I had low energy and a low sex drive. My doctor noticed I had high SHBG (sex hormone-binding globulin) levels, so he suggested that testosterone injections might help. A doctor from where I live prescribed the medicine. There is a language barrier, so I was confused about how much to take and when. I am neither a diabetic nor hypertensive. I have not had any surgery in the past. I do not have palpitations, headaches, weight gain, acne breakouts, or muscle pain.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I have read the query, and I can understand your concern.
I am glad that the incorrect injection has not caused any major issues. Most likely, it will not cause trouble going forward. However, keep an eye out for the symptoms that I have mentioned above but my suggestion to you would be to stop taking any more testosterone until you have tested your SHBG (sex hormone-binding globulin) and total testosterone levels. Appropriate treatment can be started with the recommended gap between doses.
I hope this puts your mind at ease. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
Thank you.
