Tinidazole

Tinidazole, a Nitroimidazole antibiotic, is used to treat a sexually transmitted infection called trichomoniasis, giardiasis (parasitic infection of the intestine), and amebiasis (protozoal infection of the intestine). It can also be used to treat vaginal infection caused by bacteria (bacterial vaginosis) in women. It treats these infections by killing the causative organisms.
