Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I got my wisdom tooth extracted one day before, and there are two holes in the tooth removal region. One of them looks completely opened, and I do not know if the stitches got ripped or stitch was present or not. Now I am worried about having food as I do not want it to get inside them. Is this normal? Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understand your concern.
Do not touch or feel the wound in any way as the wound may get infected, and you may develop a dry socket. Eat only liquid or in the form of shakes for a day or two. Also, avoid hot, spicy, or hard foods, and 24 hours after the extraction, do warm saline rinses twice a day for a week.
I hope this has helped you. Please feel free to reach me again, in case of further queries.
Thank you.
