Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My daughter has been suffering from acute jaundice for the past few days. But now she has got a severe tooth infection and has swollen gums. Can she use antibiotics for her tooth infection?

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query.

No, it is better if she goes with home remedies to treat her pain. Ask her to rinse her mouth with salt water twice a day. Use garlic crush and black salt mixture on the tooth to reduce pain. Give her soft fibrous food that she does not need to chew more. Apply a warm cloth on the face near the tooth.

I suggest giving her treatment for jaundice first. After she recovers, just take her to the dentist and ask for treatment. Also, make her brush and use mouthwash after brushing twice daily. Avoid spicy foods.

Wish her good health and happiness.

Hope it helps.

Thanks and regards.
