Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have had experience with my right arm tricep twitching for the past two weeks. It started one week after I fell very hard on the concrete. The chiropractor told me I gave myself a whiplash and not to concern myself with any diseases such as ALS. However, I worry, of course, there was also pain associated with it but in my forearm when rotating it, not the tricep itself. I exercised twice at the gym since no loss of strength was noted. The muscle relaxer helps a lot with controlling the twitching. Should I be concerned?

Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thank you for the reply.
I do not have neck or shoulder pain; however, I go to the chiropractor because I am stressed and feel it in my neck. Also, I had tingling in my forearm and fingers when the twitching started; now. Furthermore, the pain in the forearm is only present (but has subsided considerably since my injury when I rotate my forearm, such as turning a doorknob, etc). That being said, no loss of strength, and I can still lift weights at the gym, etc. Twitching is visible to the eyes. No thinning at all. Not really, sometimes, but it is sporadic in my upper legs and back and goes away after a few seconds. Currently, I am taking tablet Synthroid 100mcg, daily vitamin Centrum, and Magnesium tablets.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
It is good that you having symptomatic relief with muscle relaxant. By your history, symptoms may be due to local injury +/- some nerve pressure in neck (possibly due to injury) causing tingling sensation. With this history muscle twitching not seem to be part of ALS. I suggest to observe the symptoms. If symptoms persist or tingling recurs can plan for neurologist visit physically and evaluation:
