Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am sharing my father's preventive blood test reports here for you. I seek your advice on the test report.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
According to the reports (attachment removed to protect patient identity), he has type 2 diabetes with dyslipidemia and iron deficiency anemia. All these can be managed with lifestyle modifications along with some drugs. I would advise daily brisk walking for 45 minutes at least six days a week, eating a diet rich in fruits and vegetables, and eating a diabetic diet. Avoid smoking and alcohol.
I suggest tablet Metformin 500 mg twice daily for two months, a tablet Rosuvas 20 mg (Rosuvastatin) once daily at night, and a capsule Fefol Z (Iron) once daily for 15 days. Stop Fefol if there is gastric upset, but black stools and tongue are normal with Fefol administration. Consult your dad's specialist doctor, discuss with him or her, and take medicine with consent.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
