Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

So for over a year, I have had a lot of symptoms of UTI (pain while I have to hold my urine burning, frequent urges to pee. I have seen a doctor multiple times and I have taken at least two urine tests. The one I took two months ago had a leukocyte count of 25 and 0 mg/dL on culture. I took another last month, and it revealed 25 leukocytes but this time a negative on culture and a count of 100 mg/dL. I do not understand if I have an infection. Another issue I suspected is related to the greenish discharge which I have noticed for at least a year (which is strange to me because I am a virgin and I do not think I can get an STD or something). I went to a gynecologist, she did a pelvic check and she said that I had a fungal infection. She also had me do a swab to send to the laboratory. She prescribed me a cream and an antifungal pill which I was to take once and it was supposed to work within three days to a week, and I was supposed to use the cream twice daily for a week. But here a week has passed and I see no change. I also got results from the test indicating that I do not have a fungal infection. Could my discharge possibly be related to my urinary tract situation?

Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern about your symptoms.

Your problem looks like pelvic inflammatory disease. I think you have bacterial vaginosis mixed with fungal infection and also a urinary tract infection. You need higher antibiotics like intravenous injection to get rid of this.

I hope this addresses your concern.

Kindly book a chat consultation for a better understanding and treatment advice.

Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
