Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I had bleeding between periods. I went to doctor she put me on Yasmin tablet for four months, after that my periods were heavy and again bleeding between periods. Then I went through DNC and reports said I have polyps. So my doctor put me on Duphaston-M for four months. I started reducing weight and I reduced my weight around 15 lbs. But again some orange type of discharge is coming from the 14th day of last periods. Please advise me something.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Nice to hear that you have lost around 15 lbs, but you still have not reached the target weight, which is 115 to 125 lbs. If you still have bleeding in spite of being on the hormone pills, then some other cause should be thought of. Possibilities are: Hope a pelvis examination has been done, to rule out any local infection on cervix and area surrounding uterus. A cervical polyp has to be ruled out. They produce midcycle bleeding. Hope a pelvic scan has been done to rule out uterine fibroid or polyps. D and C is no diagnosis or treatment. Thyroid profile and serum prolactin hormone checked. Hope you are not diabetic and blood sugar levels are checked. Hope pelvic infection has been ruled out. If so both you and your partner have to be treated. Hope your partner is not diabetic, he can transmit some infection which can present as bleeding like this.
