Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am experiencing vaginal itching in the vulva, particularly when there is sweating, and when I scratch the area, it becomes severely swollen on only one side of the vulva and inner labia. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understood your concern. Firstly, I would like to inform you that sweating can lead to wetness and irritation in the genital area, and scratching that area can cause redness and inflammation. I suggest you gently shave the public area to help keep it clean and dry. I also suggest you to change undergarments twice a day, avoid wearing tight underwears, and choose for breathable cotton underwear. I also suggest you wash the genital area with mild cleansers. After urination, make sure to wash your genital area with water and thoroughly dry it. To prevent wetness and itching, I suggest you use antifungal powder locally. These measures can help alleviate discomfort and maintain proper hygiene in the genital area. If the itching persists or worsens, I suggest you consult a specialist for further evaluation and treatment. I hope this has helped you. Kindly follow up if you have more doubts.

Thank you.
