Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 25-year-old female. I have been suffering from vomiting for the last three to four months, unable to take proper food, and had an endoscopy. It showed corpus gastritis with submucosal swelling. I had gastric problems with Helicobacter pylori infection sometime back and had completed the course for the same (Sompraz HP kit).

I am currently taking Nexpro RD 25 mg, Ondem-MD, and Lesuride. However, doctors cannot give a perfect reason for my vomiting, so kindly help to resolve it.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

Vomiting can occur due to gastritis or slow gastric emptying, leading to upper abdomen heaviness. I suggest the following.

1. Dietary modifications such as small frequent meals (rather than heavy meals).

2. Avoid eating spicy foods.

3. Try to do regular exercise or mental relaxation exercises daily. Psychological stress leads to slow gastric movement, leading to abdominal heaviness, and vomiting.

You can continue the medications suggested by your doctor.

Thank you.
