Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Recently I noticed I have some blisters that look like bug bites in my genital area, they are like four, and one of them is on the labia majora, then I have another closer to the anus. They itch a little sometimes, but I feel a little sting if I touch them too hard. Please help me with this because I have never had anything like that. I am usually very sensitive to humidity and extremely warm weather; that may mean something.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Dear, it seems some sexually transmitted disease or specific pelvic infection. Better to have a detailed examination if these lessons are in a sexually transmitted center and give a biopsy or skin scrapping and swab for detailed investigations. You might need some blood tests depending on examination findings.

  1. Have strict hygiene.
  2. Use condoms to prevent further transmission of disease.
  3. Wear soft, comfortable undergarments.
  4. After the collection of samples by the laboratory, I suggest following the below-given medications only for temporary relief or reduction of symptoms.
  5. Sit in mildly warm water to reduce irritation.
  6. Have tablet Doxycycline 100 mg 12 hourly and tablet Metronidazole 400 mg eight hourly for seven days after laboratory collection.
  7. Take tablet Paracetamol 500 mg eight hourly for pain.
  8. Do not overuse or take them routinely.

I hope you get my point.

Best of luck.
