Had blisters due to rough masturbation. How would they heal?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Yesterday night, I did some rough masturbation. As a result two blisters appeared today at my penis. I have attached the picture. There is no itching and everything is normal except these blisters. How would they heal? Do I have to apply anything on them? Kindly guide.

Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

  1. Is it the first time you are having this?
  2. Do you have any pain or burning sensation?
  3. Is there any relationship with masturbation such as roughly handled glans?

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.

    Patient's Query

    Hi doctor,

    Thank you for the reply.

Yes, this is the first time. I do not have any pain or burning sensation. I am not sexually active for the last six months. I did some rough masturbation yesterday and today morning blisters were there. And yesterday everything was fine.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    Welcome back to icliniq.com.

    I understand your concern.

Do not worry about it. It is a case of friction blister. I asked the questions to differentiate it from herpes genitalis. You can use Mupirocin ointment twice daily and take tablet Clavam 625 mg (combination of Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid) thrice daily for seven days.

I hope this information will help you.

    Thanks.
