Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
For the last four months, I have been experiencing the following symptoms like extreme weakness, getting tired quickly, and sweating. My whole body heats up rapidly when I wake up in the morning, a few minutes after eating, randomly throughout the day, and just by walking only about 10 meters. Also, my body temperature has been below normal (about 97 degrees Fahrenheit) for all these months. I have had many blood tests, EKG, CAT scan, NCV, and EMG tests. No cause found. Thyroid hormones are also in the normal range. What may be the source of this problem, and how to correct it?
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understand your concern.
You have already ruled out muscle disorders and thyroid problems through investigation. Now you can do further workup by checking serum calcium, sodium, and potassium estimation to rule out electrolyte disturbance. Investigate with serum urea, creatinine, eGFR (estimated glomerular filtration rate), SGPT (serum glutamic pyruvic transaminase), SGOT (serum oxaloacetic transaminase), and albumin to rule out kidney and liver disease if present. Rule out anemia as well by CBC (complete blood count). Sometimes excess stress, overwork, dehydration, anxiety related to fatigue, and weakness can also cause these symptoms.
Thank you.
