Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I was prescribed Bonadea drug by my doctor for the sharp pain in the pelvic region and anal region with acne or pimples on the chin for six months. After six months, I started to gain weight with other symptoms such as high BP, migraine, and fatigue with heavy breathing. I am overweight, which is affecting my health badly. I am exercising, and my appetite is reduced, but I can still lose even a single gram. Can you please suggest something and help? All the blood tests (TSH, cortisol), ultrasound, and CT scan reports are normal.

Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

An increase in sudden weight with abnormal hair growth is a sign of polycystic ovarian disease. I think you have scanty or irregular periods. Acne also could be observed due to hormonal imbalance. Take some healthy precautions in life:

  1. Have home-cooked food with less salt, sugar, spice, and oil and plenty of fruits and vegetables.
  2. You can also get advice from a dietician according to your BMI (body mass index), height, and weight.
  3. Have plenty of water daily.
  4. Do exercise, yoga, and daily exercises.
  5. Cinnamon powder with honey and lemon in warm water in the morning after waking up will also help reduce weight.
  6. You can use a mud mask for acne.
  7. Try to have a complete check-up and treatment of any health issue.
  8. Have recreational physical activities but quit recreational drugs to have a long-term healthy and happy life.
  9. Join a proper gym and have an instructor as well.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.
