How to maintain weight with several medical conditions?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 26-year-old female with a weight of 110 pounds and a height of 5 feet 7.5 inches. I am allergic to gluten, soy, and fish. In addition, I have medical conditions such as celiac disease, asthma, chronic interstitial cystitis, gilberts syndrome, and non-alcoholic steatosis cirrhosis.

My question is how to maintain weight with these conditions. Because generally, a person with steatosis should not have fatty foods, but I need to maintain my weight, and my options are limited.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You need to be very selective in your diet. I would advise the following, which will not only take care of your multiple conditions but rather improve them too.

1. Add ginger, fennel, and cumin to all your meals in small amounts. Just a pinch.

2. Add probiotics Capsule VSL3 (live freeze-dried lactic acid bacteria and bifidobacteria) once a day.

3. Eat more green gram sprinkled with coriander leaves.

4. Use millets, and old rice, especially if parboiled.

5. Eat beetroots and carrots.

6. Add turmeric to your meals.

7. Take more cabbage, walnuts, broccoli, cauliflower, and blueberries.

8. 30 minutes of exercise, and good sleep, preferably with short afternoon sleep, reduce any stressful situation.

All these will surely make you feel much more healthy in few days time.

Hope you get positive results and feel good.
