Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have had acne for three years, and I have tried almost everything you could think of. I have whiteheads and blackheads on my face, and whatever I do, they never go away. I wash my face twice a day with a facewash, and I also use an oil-free moisturizer. I regularly exfoliate 2 to 3 times a week and use a clay mask twice a week.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your case. I think you have used more products than required. First, you need to understand acne is a common problem of your age and often gets aggravated by fast food, cosmetics, hormones, and even by stress. Minimize your self-remedies as you have developed redness and slight scaling. Do not exfoliate too much when you do not have any dirt particles to remove. Simple washing with water or with anti-acne face wash is enough. Apply Clindamycin gel only on the most prominent pimples two times a day. There are slightly different medications for whiteheads or blackheads, and even these are resistant to treatment. You should not use that as your face already look red and sensitive; these medications cause more redness.

Be patient. You may require longer treatment.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
