Common "Blackheads" queries answered by top doctors | iCliniq

Blackheads

Blackheads are small dark lesions that develop on the skin of the face and neck. They often occur due to acne. Blackheads are made up of oxidized melanin. They tend to appear more when there is increased sebum production on the skin. Blackheads are reduced by avoiding oil-based skincare products, humid environments, and skin products containing alcohol. Rubbing blackheads can make them worse.
