Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am a 34 year old male. I am eating gutkha for the past 12 years and now I have found a white patch in my mouth and I consulted an ENT. He suggested me 10 days course of one Asbex tablet and one cream for the white patch. I am using it for 10 days and now the white patch is slowly disappearing. So how long does it take to cure permanently and is there any biopsy needed and when I eat I felt buring sensation at the wisdom teth and inside the cheek and this buring sensation is now reduced as I have stopped tobacco since 15 days. How can I feel permanent relief from these?
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Keep applying that gel for two weeks more. Avoid spicy food for one month. You have to take less spicy food for your entire life if you want to stay away from cancer. That's the bad news for you that you are experiencing the first few symptoms of oral cancer that is burning sensation at cheeks and gums and white patch at buccal mucosa or tongue and limited mouth opening. But the good news to you is that the symptoms are resolving and getting better with medications. So, it is not proper cancer yet, just infection which is recovering. Now make a promise to yourself that you will not have gutkha, pan, chalia for your entire life and will not put yourself in trouble of cancer as it is horrible to deal with. This is the permanent solution to it.
