Can a minor genital cut increase the risk of HIV transmission?

Hello doctor,

I had a massage with a 'happy ending' about a year ago. There was no penetration, only a hand job involved. I cannot confirm whether the masseuse had any cuts or active bleeding on her palms during the massage. Similarly, I am uncertain if I had a minor cut on my genitals from shaving, although it's unlikely that there was an open wound.

I am concerned that if there was a cut, it might have opened up while receiving the hand job. These worries have led me to consider the risk of HIV contamination.

Could you please advise me on whether I am at risk in this situation? Kindly help.

Thank you.

Why do I feel foggy, along with having hazy vision and pain across my head and behind the ears?

Hi doctor,

I hit the back of my head against the wall 48 hours back. I did not feel dazed or lose consciousness and felt fine with minimal headache. Since yesterday I started feeling foggy, eyes hazy, headache across the top of the head and behind ears. Clears with the tablet Tylenol. After sleeping overnight, I feel fine, but the symptoms reappeared today around noon. Is it a concussion?

I have a past history of concussions around two years ago. I am taking the tablet Omeprazole, vitamin D supplements, multi-vitamin injection, using Estradiol patch, and probiotics.

Should I be worried about STDs, after two negative tests?

Hi doctor,

How accurate is an STD test after a year time frame? The last time I had intercourse for two and half years, I got tested after three months, and the results came back negative. Then I tried again after a year, and it came out negative. Should I be worried? Or I do not need to take the stress. Please suggest.

How to cure H. pylori infection infection when I am allergic to Clarithromycin?

Hello doctor,

I am experiencing symptoms such as belching, indigestion, nausea, excessive gas, and vomiting, which are caused by an H. pylori infection. I have a severe allergy to Clarithromycin and other medications, except for the following ones: Famotidine, Amoxicillin, and Norflox-TZ. Can I take these medications to cure the infection? If so, what should be the dosage? Please provide assistance.

Thank you.

Can intermittent diarrhea with abdominal pain be due to IBS?

Hello doctor,

I am a 25-year-old female with symptoms of intermittent diarrhea associated with crampy abdominal pain relieved by defecation. I noticed that diarrhea started maybe around four years ago. At first, the abdominal pain will usually occur after food intake (I could not find a particular pattern or food trigger). The stool was usually watery with some small formed pieces and 2 to 3 episodes of blood. However, diarrhea has become more persistent and occurs more often, even with food that does not usually cause diarrhea. I also noted some blood in the stool 2 to 3 times. My regular bowel movements before this are not regular. I usually defecate 2 to 3 times a week. Currently, I am on the medication Althea (Hibiscus) for PCOS. I have a family history of colon cancer (grandmother), lung cancer (uncle on my mother's side), and hypertension (mother and grandfather).
