My infant has chest retractions due to severe cold. Should I be worried?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. I suggest you get a chest X-ray and a blood test to know the level of infection, rather than changing the antibiotics. Along with antibiotics, I suggest you give her nebulizations. Also, if she has chest retractions, check her saturation level. If it is below 95 percent, she needs to be admitted to the hospital.

What is the rationale behind lymph node enlargement in my baby?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. Single lymph node has no significance if there are no associated infections. Maybe your child had some cold or minor infection around that area due to which the lymph nodes got enlarged. Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. Yes. Instead of using the Levolin Syrup, I suggest you use Levolin (Levosalbutamol and Levalbuterol) nebulization. The medicine goes directly into the lungs and the dose is also very less. In syrup, the dose is high and it reaches blood first then it gets absorbed into lungs and then the action starts.
