Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have some problem in my upper GI tract. I have been experiencing serious acid reflux since last eight months accompanied by extreme bloatedness and flatulence. I have consulted a few doctors and all of them have prescribed PPI medications and none of them have worked. Please help me out.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

If your symptoms are so severe, you can get an upper GI (gastrointestinal) endoscopy done after consulting a gastroenterologist/physician. After examining you, he/she may advise you other investigations like ultrasound abdomen, thyroid profile, and H. pylori testing.

Meanwhile, you need to follow a few things:

  1. Avoid alcohol.
  2. Avoid spicy foods, tea, coffee, and chocolates.
  3. Take plenty of fluids.
  4. Try to take daily meals at the same time.
  5. Do not go to bed immediately after taking food.

For more information consult an internal medicine physician online.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
