Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have acne scars that I am trying everything to get rid of it. Please judge by the pictures attached, whether it is an ice pick or boxcar scars. I have tried multiple different treatments over the years, and I do not think anything has helped. Can fillers be used to treat the appearance of acne scars? Please reply.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Yes, derma fillers help in improving acne scars. Subcision is a good option. Also, punch incision, excision, and elevation or punch grafting may be helpful depending on the nature and depth of the scar. Regards. Do you have any dark spots or atrophic scars, or deep scars? I hope this helps. Kindly revert for further queries.
Patient's Query
Thank you, doctor,
I will look into some of those, and I have attached a picture. My scars are not deep, and in certain spots, lightening is very visible, and in other ones, lightening is not visible at all, but they bother me a lot. Looking through my old pictures, I think the pigment has a lot to do with how they look, so maybe a treatment for that could make some progress? I am willing to try anything that could make any improvement. Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Use Ahaglow (Glycolic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Lauret Sulphate, and Sodium Cocoyl) face wash twice daily for 20 days. Use Photostable sunscreen daily at 9 AM, 12 PM, and 3 PM for two months. Take tablet Limcee 500 mg (vitamin C supplement) once a day after breakfast for 30 days. Derma roller with chemical peel sessions will help. Thanks and regards.
