Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have oily skin with acne marks, active acne, and open pores, and I also have sensitive skin. Is there a tablet I can take to improve the texture of my skin while also treating the acne and acne marks? I have chronic tonsillitis and occasional stomach ulcers. I also experience severe cramps during PMS and have a cat allergy. Currently, I am not taking any medication, but I use sunscreen and niacinamide serum.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I do understand your concern. It appears to be Acne vulgaris grade 2 with scarring. Maintain proper facial hygiene and follow a skincare routine as mentioned below:

  1. Avoid exposure to dust and pollutants.

  2. Do not scratch or rub the lesions, and refrain from popping or pricking pimples.

  3. In the morning, cleanse your face with a gentle cleanser.

  4. Apply 1% Nadifloxacin cream in the morning and at noon for two weeks.

  5. Apply 2.5 % Benzoyl peroxide gel at night for two weeks.

  6. Use gentle soap for bathing for one month.

  7. Take one tablet Azithromycin 250 mg daily after food for three days (for a total of three weeks).

  8. Avoid excessive sugar, junk food, oily food, dairy products, and eggs in your diet. Increase your consumption of greens.

  9. Drink plenty of water, avoid comedogenic products, do not use sunscreen until the lesions clear up, and stop using niacinamide.

Follow up after two weeks for further evaluation.

I hope this helps. Thank you.
