Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 40-year-old woman with sensitive, acne-prone skin. Skin type is oily in spring and summer and combination in winter. I have large pores with major breakouts around the mouth, jaw, and neck. Another primary concern is deep smile lines.
I am currently using a glycolic acid wash and day cream with 30 SPF in the morning. I have been using specific creams, toners, and face wash. I also used 10 % Sulfacetamide lotion that cleared the acne as well. Three weeks ago, I began using a facial cleansing device twice daily while washing. It has brought a lot of bumps to the surface; some have been there since my teenage years. I frequently change and wash pillowcases and towels and do not touch my face often. Major cystic breakouts have mostly disappeared to once per month. I quit birth control seven years ago when many of these problems worsened. Occasionally I use a steroid cream on my hands for eczema as needed. I am looking for a product to keep acne at bay and treat wrinkles and lines.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I went through your query in detail and understood your concern.
You have a long history of acne, which your age should have settled, but unfortunately, you have ongoing problems because of drugs like birth control treatment, and even steroids that you use for eczema might worsen them. You must understand that bumps, acne scars, or wrinkle lines require laser treatment. Unfortunately, these are hard to be treated with topical medications. Secondly, put only a little product on your skin, as you do not know which one aggravates your issue.
My advice:
Consult your specialist doctor, talk to them, and take medications after their consent.
Use any anti-acne fash wash.
Apply Benzolypetoxide cream at night on cystic lesions or pimples.
Use an oil control or serum form of sunblock.
Kindly revert for any further queries, along with a picture.
Thank you.
