Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 25-year-old and in a relationship for a few years. We both loved each other a lot. But due to our parent's restrictions, we could not get married. Now she has got engaged to another person as per her family's choice. So I feel depressed and not able to forget her memories. I always think about her marriage. The situation is also the same for her. That is why we still talk at times. I want to get rid of her memories.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

First of all, I would like to mention that sometimes you do not have control over the situations and what others do but what is in your hand is how to cope with it. I know it is easier said than done, but you have to move on. I suggest some simple steps that can be of help:

1. Doing meditation daily for at least half an hour in the morning helps you relax and focus.

2. Follow a flexible routine.

3. Exercise regularly.

4. Take a balanced diet.

5. Doing aerobic exercises for at least half an hour thrice a week has been found to be especially helpful.

6. Give at least one hour daily for your hobbies and focus on your life goals.

7. Spend quality time with family or close friends and share your feelings as sharing helps a lot.

Remember every problem has a solution you just need to try solving it and help is just a step away.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask if you have any further queries.

Thank you.
