Hi doctor,

I get rashes on my arms and stomach at night. The rashes are itchy and last for a few hours and then vanish. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

I have gone through your case.

Right now, you are suffering from acute urticaria. It is a type of allergic reaction. And there are multiple causes of this, including insect bites, chemicals like perfumes, deodorant, food products like artificial flavors, eggs, milk, or drugs. Please note if you have recently used the above products. Even if you have no obvious cause, it may be spontaneous. In treatment first step is that it heals itself in most cases.

I suggest a tablet of 10 mg of Cetirizine at night for seven days. It is sedative, so avoid driving after using it. However few percent of people may have breathing difficulty. In that case, see the doctor in an emergency.

I hope you find it helpful.

Kind regards.
