Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have eczema and it is present all over my body. It is present mainly on my neck and bends of my joints. When I was in my childhood, it got calmed down. Now, I experience severe skin problems. I know that I have eczema. But I believe that something wrong is happening to me. I experience long episodes of severe burning, pain, and itchiness. It seems to be the source of my depression. I have extremely dry skin. But it is present all over my body with pain. I have dry skin around my eyes and mouth with extremely dark circles. Some of the blood vessels are damaged around my eyes. It is inhibiting me. I cannot take shower due to extreme pain. Even moisturizer hurts me. I get unexplainable episodes of tingling or pricking on my back. It causes itching and discomfort. I have tried using Vaseline to Crisco. I have used steroid creams but there is no relief. I took Diflucan once a week as an antifungal and it did not help me. I have tried many detergents and materials to treat it. I have done extreme patch or allergy testing three times. I am currently allergic to trees, pollen, and grasses. I took Rhinocort. I had a kidney abscess and recurring kidney infections before three months. But now it is under control. I do not have any autoimmune disorders. I am running out of options and I cannot live with this problem. Please help me.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You have urticaria right now. It is a chronic problem but there is a treatment. If it is not completely cured, we can try to subside it. As you have done an allergy test several times, it shows that you are allergic to many things. Avoid using chemicals, cosmetics, detergents, and soaps. Avoid going to sunlight and having sweating. As it is not fungal, you do not need to take Diflucan (Fluconazole). You can use moisturizer two to three times a day. Avoid having sudden hot and cold exposure. You can have dark circles due to stress, lack of sleep, and improper diet. As you are taking steroid cream, you can try taking oral steroids. It can help you a lot if the problem goes uncontrolled. Continue taking Atarax (Hydroxyzine). You can also take antiallergic like Levocetirizine along with it. Depression itself can increase skin problems and so live happily.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
