Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 30 years old. I have sneezing attack in the morning for the past nine years. Sometimes I have a running nose. I do not know when I have a runny nose. Is there any permanent solution? When I walk or work, I do not have a runny nose.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

This condition is called allergic rhinitis and it is caused due to some allergens such as dust or pollen. First of all, avoid these allergens. This is the permanent solution to manage this problem. Drink lukewarm water for few days. Take tablet Cetirizine 10 mg once a day after meal for five days. Please mention the kind of mucus when you have a runny nose. Please mention whether it is watery or thick.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I have watery mucus and I use a handkerchief to clean it. It is affecting my energy level. Now I have pain in the chest on the left side near the chest bone and below the shoulder. It happens sometimes. May this allergy affect my body internally? Sometimes I have allergies to temperature changes. I need a permanent solution.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Do not use a handkerchief. Because it irritates your nose. You can use a soft or smooth cotton cloth. In these cases, you can do allergen testing and find out the things that are allergic to you. For now, you can take tablet Cetirizine 10 mg. It helps you a lot. This allergy does not affect your whole body. The pain in the right upper chest occurs due to muscle spams or sleeping in the wrong position or sitting in the chair for a long time. As you have mentioned that you have pain while bending and so most probably, it is due to muscle pain. You can apply Diclofenac gel or spray on that area of the chest or you can take tablet Diclofenac 50 mg once a day after meal for three days.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Is there any specific name for the allergen test? I have pain in the left side and it occurs in different parts of the body. But now it is gone automatically. I have my marriage soon. Can I take Cetirizine at this time?

Answered by Dr. Sugreev Singh

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

This is called a skin allergy test where they check twenty different types of allergies in a single test. It includes airborne, food-related, and contact allergies. For the pain on the left side chest, you can apply Diclofenac gel or take tablet Diclofenac when you have pain. You can also Cetirizine and enjoy the occasion.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I take tablet Cetirizine before going to parties. I am going to do an allergen test soon.

Answered by Dr. Sugreev Singh

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Do the test soon. There is no problem.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Do we need to do a skin test for nose allergy? Where it is done? Please mention the doctor to be consulted.

Answered by Dr. Sugreev Singh

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, they use a small micro-needle on the forearm skin to check for allergens. They check for airborne allergens like pollens and dust with food allergies. You can do this test in the nearby laboratory and send the reports. You need to consult an allergy specialist.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

You have helped me a lot.
