Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 27-year-old female. I am planning to have a baby. It is the first time that I am trying for it. My last menstrual period was 20 days back. Yesterday, I started to have a feeling of nausea and gastric issues. Today, I have pain in my lower abdomen. Is there a chance for me to be conceived? My final exams are started and so I am not able to study properly. I am confused. Kindly help me.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. For getting pregnant, you need to take folic acid and multivitamins. Keep track of your menstrual cycle and ovulation cycle. Have intercourse on alternate days during ovulation period. As you are experiencing some pregnancy-related symptoms already, you can do a urine pregnancy test with the first urine of the day for getting accurate results. Do not drink much fluid prior to your test. Adhere to all guidelines written on the package of the pregnancy test kit. Based on the results of the pregnancy test, we can decide further regarding the management of your menstrual health and pregnancy.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
