Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

The ANA test is positive. The patient is fine. She does not have any history of the same issue and currently not on any medications.

I have attached the laboratory test reports.

Hello,

Welcome to the icliniq.com.

I have seen the reports. (attachment removed to protect patient identity)

The positive ANA (antinuclear antibody) test indicate towards some autoimmune disease like rheumatoid arthritis or SLE (systemic lupus erythematosus) like condition.

However, it is not a specific marker, and it needs to be repeated after a few days to check whether persistently positive or not.

The platelet count is low in the CBC report. So it needs to be monitored after five to seven days.

Drink more water.

Kindly mention any clinical complaints like the common cold, retro-orbital pain, headache, joint pain, etc., if present to guide you further.

The full autoimmune panel can be investigated if your ANA is persistently positive.

I hope this helps.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
